 Weather: 39°F, partly cloudy.
Storm Watch: A potential winter storm is expected Tuesday night with a 90% chance of snow. Heavy snow is possible, with total accumulations ranging from 4 to 6 inches, and localized totals reaching 6 to 8 inches.

AccuWeather reports that Lakewood area towns will receive 3-6 inches of snow.
Weather.com forecasts 1 to 3 inches of snow accumulation.

Ocean County could see between 4 to 8 inches of snow, while Monmouth County will be in the 2-to-4-inch range, Steven DiMartino, meteorologist at NY NJ PA Weather, said. Southern Ocean County will see the most snow.




- Seminary acceptance system in E"Y in similar situation to what has transpired with the Lakewood mesivtos.  It seems some seminaries are rumored to have accepted girls ahead of the agreed upon date of March 3rd that was set by the appointed high school vaad. The vaad issued a strongly worded letter calling on all seminaries to stick to the rule and not accept girls prior to the set date.
In addition, as a means to enforce it TTI program under Mrs. Raizel Rite who provide scholarship tuition has said they will not partner with any seminary that will break the rule and called on everyone to not send letters and pressure parents for answers before the set time.

- President Trump to pardon former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich who was convicted  of  18 felony counts, including corruption charges like trying to sell Barack Obama’s former Senate seat in exchange for personal benefits and more than $1M in campaign donations.

- BMG roshei yeshiva were at the Lakewood Matzah bakery today with their chanukah ahead of Pesach 5785. The bakery is now open for chaburos.

-Utility Bills:

Natural Gas Bills: Lakewood residents who heat their homes with natural gas saw a sharp rise in their bills, averaging $400 last month due to a combination of cold weather and rate increases.
Electric Bills: Electric bills were also higher during this period.
Water Bills: Over the next three months, the water company will calculate waste usage to adjust rates for the remainder of the year. It's advisable to be mindful of water usage to help lower overall costs.

-Adirei HaTorah Event:
A Shabbos event is scheduled for four weeks from now in Stamford, CT, allowing donors to spend Shabbos with the Roshei Yeshiva. Organizers are also exploring larger venues for the annual Adirei HaTorah event, potentially in the NY area.

-Avian Flu Alert in NYC:
Live poultry markets in New York City rushed to sell off chickens and other fowl on Friday after seven cases of avian flu were detected. State officials have ordered a one-week closure of the markets in the metropolitan area.

Starbucks Promotion:
Update several Kashrus agencies are of the opinion that one can not purchase  plain coffee at Starbucks. (Starbucks is offering free coffee on Monday, Feb. 10, as part of its "Starbucks Monday" promotion. U.S. Starbucks Rewards members can enjoy a free tall (12-ounce) hot or iced brewed coffee the Monday after the Super Bowl)

- Trump's Statement on Military Academies:
Trump stated: “Our Service Academies have been infiltrated by woke leftist ideologues over the last four years. I have ordered the immediate dismissal of the Board of Visitors for the Army, Air Force, Navy, and Coast Guard. We will have the strongest military in history, and that begins with appointing new individuals to these boards. We must make the Military Academies GREAT AGAIN!”

- LDC Reorganization Meeting:
The LDC reorganization meeting will take place tomorrow, virtually. The following officers are appointed for the upcoming terms:
Raymond Coles – 1-year term
Deborah Fuentes – 1-year term
Moshe Zev Weisberg – 2-year term
Eli Rennert – 2-year term
Patrick Donnelly – 2-year term

-Musk on FEMA Misuse:
Musk tweeted: “The @DOGE team discovered that FEMA sent $59M LAST WEEK to luxury hotels in New York City to house illegal migrants. This violated the law and showed gross insubordination to the President’s executive order. That money was meant for American disaster relief but is instead being spent on high-end hotels for illegal migrants. A clawback demand will be made today to recoup those funds.”

- President Donald Trump has announced he will be introducing new tariffs on steel and aluminium for "everybody", with Australia to be hit with a 25 per cent tariff under the new policy. Trump said every country exporting steel to the United States will be hit with a 25 per cent tariff.
