New Jersey voters gave close but convincing approval Tuesday to a constitutional amendment dedicating all gas-tax revenues toward transportation projects. Early returns showed a close race, but big margins in North Jersey drove Public Question 2 to victory. Unofficial results showed that with 98 percent of precincts reporting, the ‘yes’ vote was more than 7 percentage points ahead, nearly 203,000 votes.
