Everyone is texting and messaging each other about the insane gridlock they are experiencing today in Lakewood.
It is certainly understandable that on a pre purim shopping day, that is also a fast day, especially before sabbath there will be traffic.
Last year the traffic was not nearly this bad. A few years before that it was non existent. I just want everyone to understand that the traffic they are experiencing today is what lakewood could be like every dayin the very near future if we don't start to manage our growth responsibly. In order to do that we need elected officials that understand what needs to be done.
Do you think the same people that have been in office all these years or those with the support of the VAAD will try to fix things? What is going to change now that they couldn't do before?
WE need to finally accomplish what should have been accomplished 7 years ago.
There will be many new people running in the upcoming primaries. Nothing is finalized as of yet as to who is running that will have the entire lakewood communities best interests at heart, but we need to realize that whomever may be running, we cannot vote for anybody that has been in office and sat back while our town fell apart. We cannot allow anyone that may listen to a few well connected people to manage the town for them at the expense of all the rest of us.
So right now before purim. Spread the word. Real changes are coming. Things will be returning to normal. The craziness of the past 12 years must stop.
This Purim let's remember that we need to
MAKE LAKEWOOD NORMAL AGAIN!
after purim of course
A Freilichen purim
