The Vaad was no where to be found when there was a referendum for upgrading HVAC systems at the public schools. It cost the tax payers plenty, yet the vaad ignored the referendum leaving the tzibur out of what went on. That vote passed and taxes went shooting up. Why now with fire elections did the vaad decide to get involved?? if they truly care about taxes why were they silent during the HVAC referendum? Are there personal interests at stake here? why were they silent by other previous elections that effect the tzibbur? even the busing issue they were seemingly on the fence until they saw the winds blowing against them. Do they not care about the non stop hikes in property taxes? If they cared for the tzibur they would not have members on the vaad who get BOE money for their agency thereby tying their hands from negotiating and advocating on behalf of the tzibbur. Do they think they will have the trust of the tzibbur come next election when they showed their true colors by ignoring the needs of the tzibbur? They might have gotten away till now, but that game is up.
