Guilty by association, that is what you would assume from the APP report about the amnesty seminar last night in Toms River. The headline read "Lakewood Medicaid cheats stay home". The assumption is that anyone who lives in Lakewood and attends the meeting is a criminal and a tax cheat or anyone who lives in Lakewood and did not come must also be a tax cheat. The article goes further claiming that the bad guys did not show up
"What they got instead were no bad guys showing up -- instead, about three-dozen people who said they were sick of hearing about public assistance scams".
How would they know who is a bad guy? did they interrogate everyone who walked through the doors? Did organizers expect people to walk in and announce publicly they are criminals? could there possibly be other reasons why people would want or not want to attend this event?
