
The Planning board members indicate to the Yated that this is overwhelmingly the opinion of the board as a whole. The Planning board, asked for a clause to be inserted making the density hikes contingent on improvements to route 9, Cross street, Prospect street, James street, and Pine street It called for these streets to be brought up to a Level C which is the equivalent of constant traffic flow BEFORE the increased density takes effect. However the ordinances brought to the township committee omit any mention of James street, Prospect street,and Route 9. Even the streets mentioned Cross and Pine had the contingencies relegated to specific sections. Pine street from New Hampshire to approximately Vine street and Cross from Jackson only until Massachusetts completely disregarding the more heavily backed up segment that continues to route 9. There are other inconsistencies with the wording regarding the Eagle Ridge Golf club as well.
