Much was said about the Spontaneous reaction upon hearing the News that Shalom Mordechai Rubashkin was released. Yidden in frum communities throughout the world gathered and celebrated they danced in their homes their shuls and in pubic places. Thousands came out to greet him as he made his way home through Monsey and Brooklyn. It didn't take more than a few hours from when he sat in his cell to greet thousands of people in the streets.
We witnessed a pure joy we saw עמך yidden in a real moment.

Unfortunately the fake news Phenomenon has penetrated and seeped into the frum media outlets. Marketing campaigns and PR firms try hard to push agendas and organizations on a weekly basis. Sometimes there are asifos that takes months of arm twisting to get a few thousand people to come together creating an image on something that many dont truly feel part of the cause.
When Rubashkin was freed there was no prodding of individuals or kol koreh's creating a event, it happened all on its own. Even the events to raise money early on when the campaign started drew thousands beyond the expectations of the organizers. There was no need to sell it it sold itself.
Its nice to see something real once in a while and that was just witnessed on Zos Chanukah.
