APP reports the lawsuit to stop eagle Ridge development in Lakewood from taking over the Golf course survived its first challenge.
The report says "Developer GDMS Holdings LLC had argued in court papers that residents who filed the lawsuit had no legal backing to request a trust that would prevent development on the 27-hole course. In a court hearing Friday, Ocean County Superior Court Judge Marlene Lynch Ford said the request was premature and allowed the case to move forward, according to Michele Donato, a lawyer representing residents near Eagle Ridge Golf Club who filed the lawsuit. "We’ve gotten through this first hurdle," Donato said. "They fought very hard to try and dismiss us but they did not prevail." Read more at APP
