The Lakewood township recently transferred land owned by the taxpayers in the industrial park area to the Lakewood Industrial commission, now the LIC is putting it up for auction with a minimum asking price of $25 Million dollars. It is a 70 acre parcel located off Airport rd and Cedarbridge avenue. The LIC takes control of all deals and properties that are in its jurisdiction. The money and revenue generated in industrial park from township owned land usually goes back to the LIC budget account not to the township coffers. The money from the Blueclaws lease for the stadium goes to the LIC account.What will the LIC do with the 25 million are they building another stadium, is there a major project going up, or will the profit of the sale help lower property taxes which are going up next year for homeowners.
