WestGate Yes Lakewood commons NO

Submitted.
It all comes down to who you know and who is stronger that the unfortunate system in Politics and Lakewood operates the same way. At the township committee meeting last night an Ordnance was passed turning North Crest street in West Gate to a one way only. That was not the recommendation by traffic and safety at the sneaky meeting 2 days before Pesach. The opinion was to enforce traffic and not extend the one way all the way through. NO public hearings took place and township officials did not take a vote or get the input of ALL residents who live on that street. Some of those pushing for it don't even live in Westgate any more but they have friends in High places. It may or may not be a good idea to have it go one way but the way they went bout it stinks

On the other hand a petition by Lakewood commons residents asking the town to reinstate parking on one side of the street was rejected in the workshop meeting because traffic safety and others don't want it. Too bad they don't have the right connections.
