Lakewood Police "they both mutually agreed to participate in the incident. Poor judgement......yes, Criminal.....no."
LPD update on Facebook The Lakewood Police Department would like to thank all of you who brought the incident regarding the homeless man to our attention earlier today. It's because of you, that situations like this, are able to be investigated and resolved quickly.
We would like to inform you that Officer Chase Messer was able to identify and locate all of those involved. After further investigation it was determined, that although the incident occurred in poor judgement, it did not rise to a criminal act.
Evidence in the case revealed that both parties were willing participants and no one was injured.
Thank you all again for your concern and interest in this matter.
A story was posted on Facebook about an incident involving a homeless man where someone offered him money to pour two cups of coffee on his head . The story apparently took place at the singin gas station at hurley and S. Clifton. The reaction was swift with threatening comments against the tzibbur. The story we hope was made up for a few reasons. First its unbecoming for us to even think of doing it. Second, Why would a guy give his name after doing something like that.
