Lakewood Primary Election Analysis- Seniors Mail in ballots Deliver vote for Vaad

Interesting analysis based on the data available. The write in information is not available yet hard to break it down. There was a maili ballot campaain that gave Miller 222 votes (organized by Vaad loyalists and seniors)
In the frum districts the write ins were at 30%
Bob Singer and the seniors delivered the votes for Miller and the vaad there were almost zero write ins coming from the Lakewood senior developments.
Areas of the The Frum senior developments such as a Country place and Pine River Village has over 30% write Ins split between Miller and Stern representing a third.
The BMG Herzka Voting District had 94 votes for Miler 90 for stern and 26 Write ins, only 8 votes for Lichtenstein assuming the write ins for for both that makes it 13 voters for a total of 115 votes from the bnei Hayeshiva
-Westgate delivers most for Miller with 156 and 46 write ins only 10 for Lichtenstein
-Coventry had a total of 53 votes on the Republican side with 40 for Miller and 13 write ins and 10 for Lichtenstein

Lichtenstein got very little from the Frum community (most who are not registered democrats)  his running mate got more votes than him  The most votes came from Leasure village and other senior communities his strength was his running mate.

Lakewood Public Elementry School to Install Metal Detectors

Inzelbuch said Metal detectors have already been approved by the BOE, and that they could be installed within the next 10 days. When asked about what was being done to prevent firearms and weapons from being brought onto district buses, Inzelbuch said he and Winters would be meeting with the bus company later in the day to discuss the situation.

NJ1015- Before the school year is done the township's youngest students will see metal detectors installed at the elementary schools, much like they have at the middle and high school.
The announcement was made by Superintendent Laura Winters during a meeting with the district's principals and the Lakewood Police Department. The meeting was held a day after two elementary school students were charged with bringing a .22-caliber handgun on a school bus to school, which they claimed was for "protection."

District attorney Michael Inzelbuch said that the district was not going to address the Tuesday situation directly, as it was still under investigation, but said the district had policies to ensure the safety of the community. Inzelbuch also detailed the district's policies for what could happen to the two students, who have not been publicly identified because they are underage.
Across Lakewood schools, there are 23 security officers plus a supervisor who are all former state or municipal police officers, according to Inzelbuch.

District Director of Security John Stillwell said schools were not placed on a lockdown as a result of the incident because of the quick response and containment of the situation.

"The reason we didn't go into a lockdown at the school was the treat was taken care of immediately," he said. "There was never a threat once the child was in Mr. Joseph Schroepfer's hands."

As the principal of the Oak Street School, Schroepfer said there was no indication of a potential problem that would lead a student to bring the weapon to school. Inzelbuch said the district was "not aware of any prior incidents of any guns in any of our elementary buildings," but added that "we have since learned that there could have been." He said police are investigating that as well.

NO MORE GAMES

By Harold Herskowitz

The time has come to stop playing games , running for fun, endorsing candidates that people dont know or trust, and not campaigning and expecting everyone to run and vote. We are dealing with outright gezaila (theft) from the rabim (public). We need to ask a shaila (question) from a gadol (Rabbi) what must be done. Taxpayers are on the hook for tens of millions due to incompetent and corrupt leadership. There are people that want this to continue, but many that are paying the price do not. We need a psak and must have it published publicly before any action is taken.

I spoke to Rav Shteinman about a specific case years ago that I got involved in without realizing what I was getting myself into. I was happy that he told me to remove my name, but he stressed that what they were doing is wrong. Years later the project ended up upsetting many people in Lakewood. It seems that people are Moreh Heter to steal when the money goes into their pockets and they don't see the victim personally. Rav AAron Kotler zatzal would have never allowed this to happen.

We tried stopping what is going on by removing the problems from office. It seems that doing that is now impossible as they have a base of uneducated willing followers that they can manipulate easily. One thing I saw from this little write in effort. The so called establishment was scared. They were scared because they know that people are mad. But instead of stopping what they are doing and changing their ways, they think that they can continue as long as they fool everyone into believing that most of us are ok with this. This cannot go on any longer.

B"H all kids are ok.  Hamodia reports A bus carrying sixth-grade boys from Yeshiva Mevakshei Hashem in Kensington overturned on the ramp from the New Jersey Turnpike to the Goethals Bridge. Bechasdei Hashem, none of the boys on-board the bus were seriously injured, but three boys were taken to the hospital for observation.the bus was one of several from the yeshivah, located at Ocean Parkway and 18th Avenue, returning Thursday afternoon from a trip to Diggerland Construction Theme Park in West Berlin, N.J. The cause of the accident has not been determined.
NBC4- A school bus with dozens of children on board has overturned on the New Jersey Turnpike near the Goethals Bridge. Chopper 4 over the scene in Elizabeth shows a tipped-over bus by the on-ramp to the bridge going toward Staten Island. The area is a heavy merge point for vehicles,

including trucks and buses. Officials say 40 people were on board the bus; six had minor injuries.
The bus was carrying students from Yeshiva Mevakshei Hashem in the Borough Park section of Brooklyn; there were about a half-dozen other buses lined up behind the overturned one.
No other vehicles appeared to be involved in the crash.
There was a heavy emergency response at the scene, with multiple ambulances and fire trucks stopped on the highway. The response is backing up traffic at least a mile.

An emergency exit door was flipped open on the top-facing side of the bus, Chopper 4 shows.

The recent deadly school bus crash on a New Jersey highway has spurred new scrutiny on school bus safety and driver backgrounds in the area.

A crash in Lakewood resulted in two people dead as the car hit a poll crashed into the woods, and burst into flames. Police from Toms River say it was the same car they were in pursuit of earlier but called off the chase.
It happened at around 8:45 pm in the area of Cross street and Massachusetts avenue not far from the Toms River/Lakewood border. Chevra Kadisha services will not be needed.  Photo Credit: LNN

Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato announced the results of a double fatal crash that took place within Lakewood Township on the evening of June 7, 2018.

At approximately 6:51 pm on Thursday (6/7), Toms River Police Officer Kyle Lamar attempted to make a motor vehicle stop on a 2016 Red Ford Focus wanted for allegedly being involved in a shooting within Lakewood Township earlier Thursday.  Additionally, the driver was not wearing a seat belt and the registration for the vehicle came back suspended.  The Toms River patrol activated his emergency overhead lights signaling the driver to stop, however, the driver fled initiating a pursuit.  The Toms River Unit followed the fleeing vehicle through his jurisdiction, but fearing for the public’s safety terminated his pursuit after the fleeing vehicle ran a red light at the intersection of Route 70 and Massachusetts Ave near the Lakewood Township border.

The Toms River patrol continued north into Lakewood and minutes later came upon the suspect vehicle on fire crashed into a tree just north of Massachusetts Ave and Cross St.  The driver was entrapped in the vehicle and Officer Lamar, with the assistance of Toms River Officer Thomas Elwood who arrived on the scene, immediately struggled to remove the driver as the car continued to be engulfed in flames.  Managing to free him, they then carried him across the street and began CPR.

EMS and Lakewood PD responded to the scene and first aid was rendered to the occupants of the vehicle, however, they ultimately succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced deceased.  The occupants of the Ford Focus are identified as Rynell Bennett (Driver), 29, of Bellefonte PA, and the passenger a 16 y/o male of Gloucester NJ.

Ptl. Lamar and Elwood were transported to Toms River Community Medical Center for treatment of smoke inhalation. Both were treated and released.

Hamodia Report- A number of bachurim from the Novominsk Yeshiva were injured following a fire that broke out juts after 12 a.m. Friday in the bungalow colony that they were to spend Shabbos. The talmidim of the 12th grade were to have spent Shabbos in the Quaker Hill bungalow, in upstate New York, with the Novominsker Rebbe, shlita.
According to NBC News, Vini Tankasali, Department Commissioner of Emergency Services for Orange County said that fourteen people were injured when the Monroe bungalow went up in flames. The injured are being treated in a local

hospital. One bachur had serious burns on both his hands and legs.

An initial investigation into the explosion revealed that the bachurim smelled a strong smell of gas, opened windows and then the gas balloon exploded, causing the bungalow to burn. Tankasali could not independently confirm the explosion was the result of a gas leak.

Tankasali said that eight fire departments were able to put out the blaze in about 40 minutes. He said the fire was in a non-fire-hydrant area so other departments were called in for water.  Firefighters also came from a number of other stations in the area, including from Kiryas Yoel Hatzolah, Monsey, New Square, to help with the firefighting and rescue efforts.

B’chasdei Shamayim, most of of boys were discharged after several hours. Four bachurim will remain in hospital for the next few days after suffering 2nd degree burns.
