Resolution 2017 Creation of Paid Positions
○ Resolution Authorizing the Creation of the Paid Positions for a Fire Lieutenant 1st Level Supervisor and a Fire Captain 2nd Level Supervisor on 2nd Reading;
○ Resolution Creating the Paid Position of Clerk;
Authorizing creation of the paid positions for a career Fire Lieutenant 1st Level Supervisor and a career Fire Captain 2nd Level Supervisor as needed and establishing duties and compensation therefor for the Board of Fire Commissioners of Fire District No. 1, Township of Lakewood, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey.
1. The positions of career Fire Lieutenant 1st Level Supervisor and career Fire Captain 2nd Level Supervisor be and the same are hereby established;
2. The compensation and other emoluments attendant to said positions shall be established by collective negotiations;
3. The hours undertaken concerning said positions shall be established by collective negotiations;
4. The positions of career Fire Lieutenant 1st Level Supervisor and career Fire Captain 2nd Level Supervisor shall undertake any and all duties established by the Board of Fire Commissioners of Fire District No. 1;
5. The paid employees shall be under the direct supervision of the Board of Fire Commissioners of Fire District No. 1 and/or its designees;
6. The work schedules shall be those hours as deemed necessary by the Board of Fire Commissioners of Fire District No. 1 and/or its designees for said paid employees, but again, shall be within the parameters of the minimum hours per week as set forth within if calculated on a per annum basis;
7. The qualifications for said paid positions shall be those as established by the Board of Fire Commissioners of Fire District No. 1 and applicable law;
8. All other terms and conditions of employment relative to said positions shall be established
by the Board of Fire Commissioners of Fire District No. 1;
9. All appointments for said position shall be made in accordance with N.J.S.A. 11:1 et seq.; and
10. This Resolution is to take effect following the formal adoption and publication pursuant to and in accordance with the New Jersey Title 40A of the New Jersey Statute
