The VAAD attacked Guadango for comments she made in a APP interview about the fraud investigations after they endorsed her for the primary elections. Yet local politicians who accused the innocent during the raids get the vaad endorsement. In her own words when asked if she would support an amnesty program she responded based on what she reads in the APP. she should have known not to rely or get her information from there.

APP: Guadango
"All I know is what I read in your paper and that is that there is an inordinate number of people involved in some sort of shenanigans when it comes to Medicaid I didn’t see any response to the amnesty which causes me concern. So I would enforce the law, period.’’
Vaad spokesman:
"This is not a grand conspiracy, but we have a couple bad apples every now and then," Rabbi Moshe Zev Weisberg said Thursday in an interview with NJ Advance Media.

APP: Lkwd Mayor

“It really bothers me when people take advantage of programs like this,” Lakewood Mayor Ray Coles told the Asbury Park Press. “I have a waiting list of Section 8 (housing assistance) vouchers of maybe 2,000 families that really need it. I hate to see things like this.” “To see something like this happen is just like a knife in the heart. There’s so many people out there who need the help. When something like this happens, it turns people against everybody,”
Foxbuisness: NJ State Senator
“[These programs are] designed to help the poor. If you take this money improperly, you are stealing money from the poor … Not only the taxpayer, but the poor,” New Jersey State Senator Robert Singer, former mayor of Lakewood, told FOX Business Friday. While Singer said there are safeguards in place at the local level, much like hackers who find new ways to infiltrate systems, people have allegedly found ways to “subvert” these public assistance programs. “This is a terrible, terrible thing that is happening. These programs are designed to help the poor,” Singer said. “[We don’t have enough money to help all of them], let alone have money be stolen.”
